"Lighthouse" is suffering from classic signs of Debilitated Turtle Syndrome: anemia, dehydration, emaciation, heavy loads of internal and external parasites. The turtle is lethargic but alert and the prognosis is good.
Blood was taken for complete blood chemistries and cultures. Staff administered injectable antibiotics, iron, vitamin B.
"Lighthouse" ate a small amount of fish just one day after being admitted into the Turtle Hospital. This is rare and very exciting!
