We can’t believe it but we only have one more class before the second interviews that will determine who makes it into the top 10 for our summer internship! During our March classes, the students enjoyed canoeing in a cypress swamp, which is in one of only two old growth forests left in South Carolina, Francis Beidler Forest. Both classes had beautiful weather and some were able to view turtles, alligators and various birds. After arriving back at the Aquarium, we collected the students’ homework and completed resumes and cover letters. We have to say that these are some of the best 1st draft resumes and cover letters we have ever seen! The students reviewed information about the Piedmont and Coastal Plain and everyone picked an animal for the interpretive presentations that we will see next class. We are excited for our final training class coming up at the end of this month where the student will work on interview skills, give their animal presentations and we will go crabbing in a salt marsh!
