Opening in May 2017, this new experience will serve as an interactive learning landscape, establishing the Aquarium as a powerful interpreter of sea turtle conservation on the East Coast. We will bring Sea Turtle Recovery™ to life with state-of-the-art technology and interactive exhibits that address water quality, marine debris, plastics consumption and environmental stewardship. The Aquarium will boldly tell this critical conservation story, focusing on the inspirational process of sea turtle care and rehabilitation.

Everyday, we come closer and closer to completing the Aquarium’s largest construction project since founding.

Become a Sea Turtle Ambassador
The South Carolina Aquarium welcomes community ambassadors whose creative fundraising efforts provide us with the support we need to continue inspiring conservation of the natural world. Dedicated ambassadors have helped to raise awareness and funds for the South Carolina Aquarium, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Each creative effort supports our mission to deliver an exceptional visitor experience to our guests while making a connection to our natural world and its amazing animal inhabitants.
