“I’m walking on sunshine…”!

Our gopher tortoises were singing praises to the sunshine yesterday during their afternoon stroll. We took four of our gopher tortoises outside to Liberty Square for some sunshine and exercise.

As you can see, they drew quite a crowd!

We take the tortoises outside in order to give them Vitamin D which comes from sunshine, the Vitamin D aids in bone growth and keratin growth. The exercise helps them stay healthy and active.
