For the past two years, the Aquarium has served as a special avenue of learning for Josie and her mom, April. As an avid attendee of the Homeschool Explorers Club, Josie has the opportunity to participate in tailored educational stations, activities and classes.
Josie spends her time during Homeschool Explorers Club sessions experiencing new things not offered in a typical school setting. One of her favorite pastimes when at Homeschool Explorers Club is petting the many snake residents of the Aquarium and seeing Pippin, the barn owl, up close.
Her mother, April, also appreciates the opportunities her daughter finds at Homeschool Explorers Club. “This program has become a priceless tool for me as a homeschool mom,” April says. “Not only is my daughter learning about the natural world, but I find myself learning right alongside her too. And these days give me a chance to talk and share with other homeschool parents. We call the Aquarium one of the best deals around!”
