It started with a shimmer… then the flick of a tail! Mermaids are making a splash at the South Carolina Aquarium weekends in February!
Magical Moments
On select dates in February, a mermaid will be swimming in Carolina Seas from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (with a 90-minute lunch break in between). While there is no formal show, guests can enjoy whimsical encounters filled with friendly waves, bubble hearts, up-close moments and other enchanting surprises!
MERmazing Activities
Blend the wonder of marine mythology with real-world conservation through engaging, family-friendly programming. Experience mermaid-themed dive shows, embark on a scavenger hunt in search of mermaids for a prize and discover how we can all help protect our ocean. Don’t forget to stop by our mermaid photo op to capture a magical keepsake from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. in Conservation Coast!
Exclusive Mermaid Encounters
Embark on an adventure with a mermaid in this small-group experience for children ages 3–12 years old! Young ocean explorers will craft their own mermaid crowns and necklaces, transform into a FINtastic creature with face painting, enjoy a unique photo moment with a mermaid and more. Multiple encounters will occur each mermaid date. Each encounter is $65 per member child or $80 per non-member child and is limited to 15 children (limit of two adults per child) to make this a magical and immersive experience for all. Come make waves, create treasures and leave with a sparkle of your own!
