Adventure throughout the Aquarium and complete scavenger hunts and challenges along the way! Earn badges — like the Saltmarsh Sleuth, Aquarium Insider, Ray Ranger and more — to complete your quest from the mountains to the sea. Go behind the scenes of the Great Ocean Tank, make trades at the Trading Post, complete a mock sea turtle triage and more to fulfill your Aquarium expedition.

World of Water

Splash into South Carolina’s amazing aquatic habitats to explore our world of water! Campers will discover the similarities and differences between rivers, reefs, wetlands and waterfronts across the globe and will learn how protecting our own can send ripples of change worldwide. Get ready to “float” from the mountains to the sea, meeting incredible animals along the way.

Jurassic Journey

Travel back in time for a week all about dinosaurs! Campers will dive into the ancient oceans by examining real fossils (like megalodon teeth found in our own backyards), participating in hands-on activities and discovering how paleontology helps us understand extinction, evolution and the future of conservation. Explore how fossils help us connect dinosaurs to the animals we see today — even the animals within our walls!

Scales and Tails

Slither in the world of reptiles and amphibians! Campers are only a hop, skip and a jump away from learning about all things scaly and slimy — like our American alligators, tree frogs, rat snakes and more. Through hands-on crafts, creative writing projects and guided lessons, campers will gain a deeper understanding of our local reptiles and amphibians and how we can take steps to protect them.

Career Week

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work at an Aquarium? Campers will take a week-long journey through a variety of Aquarium career paths — such as a sea turtle biologist, an animal caretaker, a water quality technician and more! See what it takes to keep the Aquarium running, the fish swimming and the guests thriving through a week of behind-the-scenes access and hands-on learning.
