What It’s About

Embark on day of exploration at Aquarium Camp! Hosted at our Boeing Learning Lab at the Charleston Maritime Center, campers will get to know the diverse waterwildlife and wild places of South CarolinaWith deep dives into animal biology and behind-the-scenes experiences, Aquarium Camp is a great way for your elementary-age explorer to connect to Charleston’s waterfront and the creatures within the Aquarium! 

Fall Camp Session 1
November 4

9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Adventure Quest
K–2nd Grade

$100 per camper; max 12 campers

Adventure throughout the Aquarium and complete scavenger hunts and challenges along the way! Earn badges to complete your quest from the mountains to the sea.

Animal Care 101
3rd–5th Grade

$100 per camper; max 12 campers

Dive into the world of animal biology and discover how we care for the creatures that call South Carolina home! Go behind the scenes with our staff and learn what it takes to keep our animals thriving.

Fall Camp Session 2
November 24–25

Daily 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Fishgiving Frenzy
K–2nd Grade

$200 per camper; max 12 campers

Celebrate “Fishgiving” at the Aquarium and learn how we combine science and creativity while meal prepping for our animals! Through hands-on projects and up-close encounters, discover the similarities between your own holiday meals and the restaurant-quality food that we prepare for our animals.

Animal Appetites
3rd–5th Grade

$200 per camper; max 12 campers

Come along with our biologists as we prepare restaurant-quality dishes for our many creatures! With diverse feeding techniques and specialized diets, these meals provide the perfect mix of vitamins, minerals, nutrition, proteins to support growth, energy, health and wellbeing — just like your own Thanksgiving feasts!

Additional Details

• All campers must be Aquarium members to register.
• Drop-off time for all camp sessions is 9 a.m. and pick-up time is 4 p.m.; location details will be provided prior to Camp.
• All parents/guardians will receive a “Before Camp Begins” information email and will be required to sign a mandatory pre-camp waiver.
