WHAT IS GOOD CATCH OYSTERFEST?

Good Catch Oysterfest is the kick-off event for our 2020 After Hours event series, featuring an oyster roast with local oysters on our outdoor Harbor Overlook. This 21+ event will also feature six of our Good Catch partners providing a sustainably sourced chili or chowder small plate. Your all-inclusive ticket also includes a beer and wine bar, animal encounters and the Aquarium experience.

WHAT DOES THE VIP TICKET INCLUDE?

The VIP experience will allow guests early access to the event starting at 6:30 p.m. A commemorative oyster shucker and an exclusive VIP bar are also included. In addition, a “celebrity” shuck-off featuring local shuckers will take place during the VIP early-access hour.

HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS AND WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?

Ticket prices are $50 for general admission and $45 for Aquarium members. The VIP experience is $75. After Hours events are all inclusive, including open beer and wine bars, small plates from Good Catch Partners and animal encounters with our education staff.

IS THERE FOOD?

There will be an oyster roast on our outdoor Harbor Overlook along with chili or chowder small plates from our Good Catch partners at stations throughout the Aquarium. In addition to seafood and meat selections, dietary-inclusive options will be available.

WHAT TIME DO THE DOORS OPEN?

VIP will begin at 6:30 p.m. Doors open to general admission at 7:30 p.m. No entry will be allowed after 9:30 p.m.

WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT END?

The bar closes at 10:15 p.m., and the event concludes at 10:30 p.m.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Most attendees of Good Catch Oysterfest come dressed in warm, casual layers.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Please have your ticket and photo ID ready. All After Hours events are 21+. If you forget your paper ticket, we can scan it through your original confirmation email or look it up with the credit card used to purchase the tickets. Outside food and beverage is not permitted.

Oyster shuckers will be available for use, but please feel free to bring your own as well.

WILL I BE ABLE TO BUY TICKETS AT THE GATE?

Please note: to avoid ticket scams, only purchase tickets directly from the South Carolina Aquarium website or Customer Service Center.

WHAT IF IT RAINS? WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

All events are rain or shine. No refunds are provided.

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

There is a pay-to-park garage located at 24 Calhoun. There are also multiple metered spots in the surrounding area. If you drive to and from the event, please do so responsibly.

DO YOU OFFER MEMBER, MILITARY, SENIOR CITIZEN OR OTHER DISCOUNTS?

General admission tickets are $50. We provide a $5 discount on member tickets, making them $45. For information on membership, please visit scaquarium.org/membership.

ARE CAMERAS ALLOWED?

Cameras and photography are allowed throughout the building. However, please refrain from using flash photography in Zucker Family Sea Turtle Recovery™ and other exhibits with a designated sign.
