Whether you’re planning a swanky corporate soir?e or your dream wedding, you can feel good about protecting the environment while you celebrate your event at the Aquarium! Our Events Team is excited to announce that Aquarium events will now be Zero Waste.

At your Zero Waste event, all organic waste and compostable items from catered offerings will be collected and brought to compost stations provided by Food Waste Disposal (FWD).

Diverting compostable items from landfills reduces the formulation of harmful byproducts like methane – a potent greenhouse gas. It also decreases the ability for pollutants to reach surface water. The use of composted food waste improves the health and structure of soil, increases drought resistance, and reduces the need for water, fertilizers, and pesticides.

When planning your next event, remember the benefits of composting organic waste and using compostable utensils!
