On Monday, the South Carolina Aquarium hosted 150 high school juniors from Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties for the STEM College and Career Conference. This event provided an opportunity for students to learn more about career opportunities and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) industries in our region, and beyond.

Students engaged with representatives from leading local corporations and agencies that recruit employees skilled in science, technology, engineering, and math. Leading statewide universities were also in attendance and talked to students about necessary next steps in order to obtain the knowledge and skills required for these careers.
