Calling all teens (ages 13–17)! Looking for a way to tell a story, share your creative masterpieces or convey your excitement about a particular topic (like your favorite Aquarium animal)? Join our very own graphic designer, Sierra Wheeler, as she teaches the various types of zines — short for “magazines” — then instructs you on how to create your very own to take home with you! All materials and snacks will be provided and all skill levels are welcome; registration is $15 per member teen and $20 per non-member teen.

Get your body moving and your blood pumping during this body weight workout class with our very own vice president of conservation and certified fitness instructor, Dr. Sara McDonald! This class is open to adults 16+ of all experience levels and will take place in front of the Great Ocean Tank. Member adult registration is $12 and non-member adult registration is $18.

Begin your day with your favorite Aquarium animals, and join us in front of the Great Ocean Tank to stretch, tumble and exercise! This class, led by The Little Gym of Mount Pleasant, is designed for children ages two to five and is a great way to “shake the sillies out!” $5 per member child; chaperones attend for free and can enjoy Charleston Coffee Roasters coffee during the class.

Wind down and experience the positive effects of being surrounded by water in this evening yoga session, led by certified instructor Alex Rogers. Surrounded by sea life, hone your favorite yoga poses while in the expansive glow of the Great Ocean Tank. Adults 16+ of all experience levels are welcome; member adult registration is $12 and non-member adult registration is $18.

Kids can dance, spin, leap and stretch surrounded by their favorite Aquarium animals! This monthly class, led by Dance Moves of Charleston, is designed for children ages two to five. Kids will be introduced to basic ballet techniques, jumps, turns and stretches. $5 per child; chaperones attend for free and can enjoy Charleston Coffee Roasters coffee during the class.

After embarking on SCDNR’s “E/V Discovery” from their campus at Fort Johnson, we’ll explore wildlife from the Aquarium’s “bonus exhibit” up close. Space is limited; registration is $20 per member adult.
