The Aquarium is once again participating in Lowcountry Giving Day on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 – which is part of National Give Local Day. This year we are pleased to direct support towards our Sea Turtle Care Center. In just a few weeks, we will unveil our most consequential educational experience since our opening. Zucker Family Sea Turtle Recovery™ will help us care for more sick and injured sea turtles and improve our level of care through advanced technology. Perhaps most importantly, every visitor to the Aquarium will have the ability to experience the profound journey of sea turtles from rescue, to rehabilitation, to release.
You can support sea turtle conservation and their journey home May 2, or anytime.
Lowcountry Giving Day is a fundraising event designed to empower donors to support their favorite local causes and organizations in the Lowcountry, like the South Carolina Aquarium. The aim of each annual Lowcountry Giving Day is to unite Lowcountry citizens and nonprofits for the purpose of making the coastal community a better place to live, grow, create and learn through a spirit of generosity and collaboration.
